One of the most anticipated movies of the year, Ice Age: Collision Course adds to the immensely successful Ice Age franchise. Having always seamlessly blended serious themes of global warming and climate change with what many would call a classic kids’ movie narrative, it’s no surprise that the franchise is the second-highest grossing animated movie franchise of all times.

A continuing story about a group of animals trying to survive the frozen wastelands of the last ice-age, Collision Course features the beloved Scrat {squirrel + rat, geddit?} trying to catch his acorn and unknowingly {and completely} screwing things up for the rest of the animals in the process, as per usual. Scrat’s acorn-catching is probably the most engaging and {joyfully} tense sequence in all the Ice Age movies, and don’t expect this one to be any different.

It also features extraterrestrial locations and characters, the type of slapstick humour Ice Age is known for, and an underlying theme of the primary characters grappling with an oncoming disaster. If you like light-hearted comedies on a laid-back weekend, this one’s for you.

If you haven’t already, we’d highly suggest you book your tickets now!
