An American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Wolverine, Logan will be the final installment of the series that features Hugh Jackman. Jackman who plays the celebrated character of Wolverine/Logan is an X-Men mutant who unlike other Marvel superheroes is an ordinary man with unusual talent.
As famous as Wolverine’s metallic claws are, very few people are aware that mutants are realistic people who are trying to come to terms with their extraordinary abilities. The movie will see an on an old and hurting Logan in the future where the mutants are dying off.

As soon as the movie was announced, Hugh Jackman took to his Twitter account and asked fans on how they would like the character’s appearance to be in the final chapter of the movie.

In the month of February 2015, Jackman revealed that it was his wish to play the character of Wolverine until he dies.

To Tributes

The trailer has a scene which shows Logan drinking at a graveyard. One of the graves has the surname “Peters” inscribed on it. This is a reference to Evan Peters, the actor who plays Quicksilver in the X-Men series.
What’s In A Name?

The title Logan is based on the X-Men storyline “Old Man Logan” where an aging Logan sets out for one last adventure of his journey.
Mutant Caliban
Stephen Merchant is the second actor to portray the mutant Caliban, after Tómas Lemarquis in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Of International Fame
Logan is the second X-Men movie to have its world premiere at Berlin Film Festival. The first is X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), which premiered at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.
Music For Life
The song that plays in the trailer is “Hurt” performed by Johnny Cash. It was written and originally performed by Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor. It is said to be about living with depression and pain and emotional isolation. Reznor loved it for its “sincerity and meaning.”
Reel Appearances
Logan is the second comic book film which features Lennie Loftin. The first was Daredevil (2003) where he portrayed Detective Nick Manolis.
Spoiler Alert
Although Logan is the final movie in the Wolverine trilogy, the movie will act as a reboot rather than a sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and The Wolverine (2013). It exists in an alternate timeline established by X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) and X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
