‘Mukkabaaz’ Trailer Packs A Solid Punch On The Caste System

The trailer of the much-anticipated film Mukkabaaz is finally out and it looks like a trademark Anurag Kashyap movie. The 2 minute 49 second-long trailer gives us hints of an assured entertainer like Gangs Of Wasseypur. It features Vineet Kumar Singh and debutant Zoya Hussain in the lead roles. This time Phantom Films has teamed up with Tanu Weds Manu and Raajhanaa fame Anand L. Rai.

The movie, based in Uttar Pradesh shows the story of a lower-caste aspiring boxer, Shravan who trains under the upper-caste don played by Jimmy Shergill. The trailer shows Shravan falling for Mishra’s niece Sunaina, but Brahmin Mishra does not approve of the match. The movie promises full on entertainment as Shravan faces Mishra’s wrath.

Mukkabaaz looks like a perfect package of drama, action and romance. This sports drama will see Jimmy Shergill portraying the local don and Sunaina’s uncle Bhagwan Das Mishra. His stern look and intense eyes will give you goosebumps. Phantom Film productions are known for their brilliant characters and dialogues. In the trailer, Jimmy Shergill who looks in top form says, “Hum Brahman hain, aadesh dete hain,” giving us chills.

The film has already won accolades over film festivals all over the world. It is Anurag Kashyap’s third film to premiere at TIFF after That Girl In Yellow Boots (2010) and Gangs Of Wasseypur (2012).

The lead actor of the film, Vineet Kumar Singh impressed everybody with his acting skills in Kashyap’s superhit movie Gangs Of Wasseypur. His screen presence and dialogue delivery is to look forward to. He looks well-prepared and confident on the screen. His character seems to be layered with innocence as well as roughness.

Mukkabaaz comes from one of the most promising film studios and features a spectacular cast. This unique love story is definitely going to be worth a watch.
