Polo is one of the oldest sports in the world that is played in over 80 countries. Over the past few years, it has gained immense popularity in India. One of the institutions that is playing a crucial role in facilitating the sport is The Golden Greens Golf Club, Gurgaon. It is a premiere equestrian facility which is a slice of life for horse and nature lovers. The club is gearing up to celebrate the British High Commissioner’s Polo Day on 8 December.
The Golden Greens Golf Club
Spread over 275 acres in Gurgaon, it is 25 kilometres from the International Airport. Windswept dunes and the native shrub found in the Aravalli hills, deep pot bunkers, cleverly contoured greens which demand precise play and strategic placing of shots is the key to successfully negotiating this course. The Peninsula Cup
The cup was founded by Mr Subroto Chattopadhyay, Chairman of the club. It brings together the Official British Army Polo Team and the Gurgaon Polo Club Team. This prestigious event will be attended by a set of HNIs and influential personalities from across the British High Commission, the diplomatic community, Polo enthusiasts and members of the Indian Army and Royalty.

The British High Commissioner’s Polo Day promises to be action-packed as the sport of kings takes centre stage! Featuring teams from three countries – India, England and South Africa, catch the British Army Polo Team, South African Polo Team & Royal Roosters Polo Team fighting for the tournament. There will be a live band, trick riding & paramotoring. Enjoy a sun-downer party with an open bar & barbeque post the games.
