During the initial phase of PadMan promotions, Sonam visited the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Marathi. She made the appearance in a striking new version of the traditional sari. The gold and white piece by Hemang Agrawal comprised of a pleated skirt designed like the lower half of a sari. This was teamed with a matching vest-blouse. The dress was complete with a v-shaped drape in the front. Accessorizing the attire with bold cuffs and a silver choker by Amrapali Jewels, she effortlessly pulled off the contrasting metallic shades.

The star kicked off her promotional photo shoot for PadMan in a striking blue piece by Georgian designer Janashia. The unique shirt was paired with dark culottes from Comme des Garcons. It was held in place with a chic brown belt. She summed up the look with gold earrings and a classy up-do.

Keeping it basic at her next promotional shoot for PadMan, Sonam wore a grey over-sized Fear of God Sweatshirt but it was the accessories and the Balenciaga “pantaboots” that stole the show. The “pantaboots” are a unique piece of trousers with built-in stilettos. This added to the uniform appeal of the color scheme. She gave it an interesting twist with uneven gold earrings and a bun-cage by Roma Narsinghani to hold her hair in place.

Sonam also promoted PadMan at the Innovation Conclave in Mumbai with co-star Akshay Kumar. She appeared in a breezy maxi dress by Anamika Khanna, covered in red and brown prints. The baggy silhouette with a tie detail at the waist gave off a beautiful Boho-chic vibe, further enhanced by her loose wavy locks. A two-tier necklace and earring set by Amrapali Jewels completed the look.

If anyone can carry off such a bold statement shirt when it comes to formal-wear, it’s Sonam Kapoor. The crisp white, butterfly-sleeved piece by Kojak Studio was tucked into a pair of black tapered pants by Yves Saint Laurent. The powerful ensemble only needed the minimal stud earrings that she wore.

Sonam’s makeup has remained subtle all throughout, ensuring that none of her outfits appear overwhelming. Sporting every look with poise, the actress has given us major style goals for 2018. She is all set to give us goals to improve as a society too! Sonam plays the leading lady in PadMan, a movie that addresses the tabooed topic of menstruation in India. The movie is based on the true story of  Arunachalam Muruganantham who invented a machine to produce low-cost sanitary napkins in his village.
