After Aamir Khan, Salman Khan Is Ready To Hit Chinese Cinema With ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’

The Bhaijaan of Bollywood, Salman Khan is all set to make his debut at the Chinese box office with his 2015 blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The movie is all set to open in Chinese theatres on 2 March with the title Little Lolita Monkey God Uncle in over 8000 screens.

Last year, Aamir Khan‘s sports biopic Dangal opened in China and soon became the highest grossing Indian film in the country. Recently, his Secret Superstar took off a phenomenal start in China. Featuring Zaira Wasim in lead role, the movie earned an impressive ₹174 crore in the opening weekend which is more than its lifetime business in India. Not just this, the movie went on to beat Dangal’s opening weekend record in China. Now, Secret Superstar has also overtaken Dangal to become the highest grossing Indian movie in China.

The perfectionist of Bollywood holds a great track record in China. Dangal ran successfully for months, catapulting its international collection and taking its gross to more than ₹2000 crore. Now, it’s the time to encash Salman Khan’s global popularity and Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘s China release is a big step in the direction.

In India, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan stands at the third position in the ₹300 crore club. The first two spots are held by Aamir Khan’s Dangal and Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai.

Directed by Kabir Khan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the story of Pavan aka Bajrangi, an ardent devotee of Hindu deity Hanuman. The movies traces his arduous journey to reunite a six-year-old Pakistani girl with her parents, back to her hometown in Pakistan. The movie received wide acclaim from critics and touched hearts all over the country. Salman Khan is a rage globally. His debut in the Chinese theatres is anticipated as a big opportunity for Indian cinema which is growing rapidly.
