The makers of Ajay Devgn’s much awaited crime-drama Raid have released another song and it is more like an energetic anthem for fighting corruption. Titled as “Black Jama Hai,” it basically challenges and questions the accumulation of black money. Sukhwinder Singh, famous for his energetic voice, has sung the anthem .
As the video starts, we see Saurabh Shukla’s character threatening Devgn’s. Shukla plays a corrupt politician suspected of IT fraud. Despite the threats and bribes that are offered to him, the officer refuses to budge. Eventually, it leads to the longest IT raid in the history of India.
Raid tells the story of one of the most high-profile IT raids in India. The film is set in Uttar Pradesh during the 1980s. Ajay Devgn plays the role of Amay Patnaik, the honest and stubborn Deputy Commisioner of Income Tax in Lucknow who leads his team for the said raid. Ileana D’Cruz appears as his brave and supportive wife.
The new song fits into the movie’s theme perfectly. The lyrics appear juxtaposed with a strong dialogue between Devgn and Shukla. The video for “Black Jama Hai” further shows the protagonist and his team trying to dig out all the hidden black money from the politician’s house. The song is an Amit Trivedi composition. The composer previously gave us soulful music in movies like Lootera, Fitoor and Highway. The primary locations for the film’s shooting include Lucknow and Raebareli.

Raid is a joint venture by T-series and Panorama Studios. Raj Kumar Gupta who gave us the thriller No One Killed Jessica, has directed the film. Considering the filmmaker’s proficiency with handling real events, we can expect Raid to be a true entertainer.
