Fans of Baahubali superstar Prabhas are in for a treat as the actor embraces an all-new avatar for his upcoming Saaho. The multi-lingual film is a sci-fi thriller directed by acclaimed Telugu filmmaker Sujeeth. The film stars Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead, marking her debut in the South Indian film industry. Also, the makers of Saaho have roped in several other Bollywood celebrities like Jackie Shroff, Mandira Bedi, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunky Panday for significant roles.
For months, details about the film have been kept under wraps, adding to the rising curiosity among fans. Saaho‘s mysterious appeal was only intensified after its first look was revealed in October last year. The foggy first poster featured Prabhas walking down a city street, dressed in black from head to toe. The actor had his face partially covered with a mask, also black in color. In addition to that, the menacing look in his glaring eyes acted as the perfect tease for fans.
Now, the makers of the film have shared Shraddha’s first look too. The actress is reportedly essaying a character with grey shades. Her stern look and to-the-point formal attire in the picture makes it obvious that this role is very different from the cheerful, bubbly characters that she has been playing in most of her Bollywood films.
The film is a highly ambitious project with a huge budget of Rs. 150 crore. The filmmakers have paid close attention to all the details to ensure that every aspect of the film is flawless. When it comes to the power-packed stunts, Hollywood action director Kenny Bates gets the credit. Bates is best known for his work in blockbusters like Transformers: Dark of the Moon, The Island and Pearl Harbor.
The film is packed with thrilling action sequences. The shooting for the same is on across locations in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Romania, simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Adding to the thrill factor, it promises the longest chase scene ever in a movie. The popular trio of Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy have composed the music for the film.
