Bollywood star Varun Dhawan has revved up curiosity about his upcoming film October in a series of tweets. Donning an intense, full-bearded look in this Shoojit Sircar directorial, the actor appears in beautiful natural surroundings in the teasers and posters.
In January, Dhawan shared a teaser that featured the flipping pages of a calendar where October comes right after March. Following that, he also tweeted about the leading lady Banita Sandhu, the highlights of the official movie poster and pictures from the sets. More recently, he surprised his fans with the statement “October is not a movie about love at first sight. It’s not a movie about hugs, kisses and dates.” The trailer release today, throws light on what the movie is actually about.
Watch it here:
The trailer opens with a shot of fallen Shiuli flowers and Banita Sandhu picking them up, taking in their fragrance. The lead stars then appear working as hospitality professionals struggling at their job. Things take a grim turn as Banita’s character seems to be battling a terminal illness. But before being admitted at the hospital, she leaves behind a curious message for Dan, played by Varun Dhawan.
The trailer gets high on emotions as Dhawan’s character begins taking care of the hospitalized girl, now unable to communicate. We also get a glimpse of the beautiful natural locations of Uttarakhand as the protagonist begins traveling to decipher the message. The soulful background music enhances the look and feel of the movie which is described as more of a “feeling” rather than a story by the director.
Co-produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar, October is the first Shoojit Sircar venture featuring Varun Dhawan. The National Award-winning director has once again teamed up with National Award-winning writer Juhi Chaturvedi for this project. The duo has previously given us films like Piku and Vicky Donor. October also marks the debut of model turned actress Banita Sandhu.
