Alia Bhatt is currently one of the most versatile megastars in Bollywood. She has constantly evolved as an artist and given her audience several stunning performances. From her flawless performance in Highway alongside Randeep Hooda to her jaw-dropping transformation in Udta Punjab, Alia has built a stellar career for herself.
Today is the birthday of the country’s beloved Alia Bhatt as she turns 25! To celebrate the occasion, Karan Johar along with the birthday girl has decided to treat her fans. They have released fresh pictures of Alia’s new look from Raazi, her upcoming blockbuster.
A burqa-clad Alia promises this to be one of her most stunning performances till date. She is seen with minimal make-up wearing ordinary earrings and a nose-stud, thus completing the perfect Kashmiri look. Her expression is reserved and thoughtful as she gazes towards her right.

Also tweeting the pictures herself, Alia wrote the following:
“Movies or in this case MY movies aren’t just something I do for a living.. it’s kinda the reason I feel like I’m alive ☺ SO…On my 25th birthday I’ve randomly picked out two images from the 25th DAY of shoot of RAAZI and and and the TRAILER will be out 25 days from today(9th April).. Raazi is being directed by Meghna Gulzar and will star Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. The movie is a period drama based around the 1971 Indo-Pak War. The film shall narrate the true story of a young girl (Alia Bhatt) who finds herself in astonishing circumstances. She marries a Pakistani officer (Vicky Kaushal) but she is a spy for an Indian Intelligence agency. She was sent to Pakistan during 1971 for retrieving information at a time when the two countries were on the verge of a war.
The espionage thriller is based on Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat. The movie has been shot in several locations including Punjab, Kashmir and Mumbai.
Earlier in February, Meghna released the first look from the movie which shows the two leads lovingly looking at each other and sealing the perfect couple moment. From Vicky’s cravat to Alia’s attire, the picture does a brilliant job taking you back to a different era altogether.
2018 is a busy year for Alia Bhatt as she juggles two films. Starring in Gully Boy, she will be seen next to megastar Ranveer Singh.
Raazi is being produced by Dharma Productions and Junglee Pictures. With most of the movie still under wraps, Alia Bhatt has promised her audiences for a refreshingly new experience with Raazi. It is the actor’s first time working in a period drama.
Raazi is set to hit the theatres on 11 May, 2018.
