Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran is one of the highly anticipated releases this month. Based on the nuclear bomb tests carried out by the Indian Army back in 1998, the film tells the story of how the mission was kept a secret throughout. This was crucial because India was under tremendous international pressure. And despite that, the government went ahead with the tests under the name Operation Shakti.
The posters and the teaser for Parmanu show John Abraham as an army officer spearheading Operation Shakti in the film. With Diana Penty by his side, also an army officer, he is followed by an entire team bearing the extremely critical responsibility on their shoulders. After a long wait, the official trailer for the film is out and it will totally blow you away!

Like the teaser, the trailer begins with actor Boman Irani’s voiceover narrating the plot. It’s 1998 and there’s a discussion of USA and China being the most powerful nuclear states in the world and how it’s time for India to join the league too. However, the fact that the country is constantly under the surveillance of US satellites makes it impossible to carry out any nuclear tests. Things get exciting from then on as the team chalks out a plan to carry out the mission hiding from the world. And even though their cover blows up, they don’t back out!
The mission comprised of a series of tests conducted in Pokhran, Rajasthan. And their success finally made India a nuclear state. KriArj Entertainment and John Abraham Entertainment have jointly produced this Abhishek Sharma directorial.
