After iconic films like Border and LoC Kargil, JP Dutta is set to complete his war trilogy with Paltan. The trailer of the movie, which was launched recently drops hints about another epic by J P Dutta. The war saga will showcase the untold story of one of India’s biggest battlefield victories.
The trailer begins with the glimpse of India losing the war of 1962 against China. It shifts from 1962 to 1967, with a group of Indian soldiers fighting with the Chinese forces at the border of Sikkim. Not just intense war scenes, the trailer is also brimming with emotion, drama and action. We get to see glimpses of the touching moments between the soldiers and their families. The trailer ends with a powerful tagline: “A martyr dies not when he is shot, but when he is forgotten.”
Paltan is based on the 1967 Nathu La military clash that took place along the Sikkim border. The movie features a spectacular ensemble cast comprising of names like Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Choudhary and Kunal Kapoor.
With Paltan, JP Dutta returns to direction after a 12-year long gap. The national-award-winning director is known for being a maverick when it comes to war sagas. With Paltan, we can expect another memorable movie from the ace director.
