French writer Gaston Leroux’s classic novel Le Fantôme de l’Opéra has been adapted on screen multiple times. Also, it was transformed into a musical for the first time by Andrew Lloyd Webber in 1986. The 2004 Hollywood movie The Phantom of The Opera, starring Gerard Butler in the titular role, was another enchanting tribute to this gothic drama.
