An espionage-thriller at its core, RAW: Romeo Akbar Walter has already created a buzz with its posters featuring the protagonist’s intriguing undercover appearances. Now, the release of the RAW trailer has further enhanced the overall impact.
Laced with moving dialogues and promising action sequences, the film is based on true events. The story brings back a forgotten hero who devoted his life to serving the country. The trailer throws more light on this braveheart’s story.
What the RAW Trailer Reveals
The RAW trailer opens with a conversation at the Prime Minister’s Office in India as a simple young man is recruited to work as a spy in Pakistan. The story is set during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani war and we soon get to see glimpses of John Abraham’s character being trained for his daunting mission. While the first half of the trailer focusses on the espionage elements, the second half gets thrilling with heavy stunts and action-sequences. As things pick up pace, the trailer keeps getting more fascinating.
On one hand, the trailer highlights the dangers awaiting this spy and on the other, his unflinching courage to keep going towards the next level. High on emotions, the trailer promises a gripping watch. Also, the protagonist’s varying looks add to the intrigue. This also makes RAW the first film where John Abraham will appear in 8- 10 different looks ranging between a 26-year old all the way up to an 85-year old man.
The film also stars Jackie Shroff, Mouni Roy, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and Sikander Kher in pivotal roles. A Robbie Grewal directorial, RAW is jointly produced by Kyta Productions and Viacom18 Motion Pictures. RAW is also the second collaboration between John Abraham and producer Ajay Kapoor after 2018’s Parmanu.
