Helmed by the director of successful “Stree” (2018), the film deals with the unusual topic of premature baldness with Ayushmann playing the role of Bala, a man who starts losing hair at a young age which has adverse effects on his life. In addition to how Bala copes with the situation, the film also focuses on his relationship with the two women in his life, played by Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar. Second installment in the “Shubh Mangal Saavdhan” series, it is a gay comedy which emphasizes on the fact that Indian people love to talk about heterosexual relationships such as Romeo-Juliet, Laila-Majnu but never discuss same-sex love stories which also exist in our society. The plot revolves around a conservative family and how they come to terms with the fact that their son, played by the marvellous Ayushmann, is gay. Gulabo Sitabo – 24 April 2020
Directed by the masterful storyteller Shoojit Sircar, the movie is a comedy-drama featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles. Written by Juhi Chaturvedi who previously penned down the script for Vicky Donor, Piku and October, the film is set in Lucknow and revolves around the love-hate relationship between a landlord (Amitabh) and his tenant (Ayushmann).
